Amazon Just Brought Prime Video To VR Headsets (variety.com) 55
An anonymous reader quotes Variety:
Oculus VR headset users just got one more video service to watch in their virtual living rooms: Amazon's Prime Video service went live on Oculus Go, Quest and Samsung Gear VR headsets with a dedicated Prime Video VR app Wednesday.
In addition to access to the entire Prime Video catalog, Prime Video VR will also feature select 360-degree video films. At launch, these include "Invasion!" from Baobab Studios and "Greenland Melting" from Frontline and NOVA, according to a blog post.
The app offers users a way to watch Prime Video titles in a virtual theater setting, and also comes with voice search for the entire Prime catalog. Prime Video VR is at launch only available to Prime subscribers in the U.S. and the U.K., but there does seem to be a way for users who aren't Prime subscribers to browse their Amazon Video purchases.

I don't know about that. I have a PSVR, and some of the VR videos on YouTube are pretty amazing. Particularly the scuba diving videos where they are swimming with sharks or dolphins, and there's a few good rain forest videos too that feature some wildlife that approach close to the camera. It definitely adds another layer of immersion. It's unfortunate they didn't do this for the PSVR as well, since they already have the Prime app for the PS4.

At the same time they were releasing these new versions they were also announcing that they were cutting support for older versions that run on some Blu-ray players. These versions they're cutting support for don't have the broken search facilities that the new ones do. As the hardware / software are pretty static on these devices, and they're clearly still being used it's also questionable why Amazon would be killing support on them.

There is: genug (see e.g. https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wi... [wiktionary.org] )
I don't think it was for lak of vocabulary that Germany started wars, it was supposedly for lack of Lebensraum, and possibly related to the perceived impact of foreigners entering the country and supposedly "leeching off the hard-working Germans who had built such a great society".
