However, studies have shown that there are a few simple tweaks to the work environment that do increase productivity. Among them: use high temperature light sources and keep office plants."

Not everything can or has to be proven with research. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, claiming a second monitor helps is hardly extraordinary.
