Before anyone starts complaining that using lenses to concentrate sunlight on a solar cell like this would drive up the cost, yes and no. A fairly inexpensive plastic or glass Fresnel lens [wikipedia.org] could be used, and its a whole lot cheaper than silicon wafer photovoltaic cells. For 40% efficiency, I'd buy it.
