Intel Plans A Common Socket For Xeon, Itanium 157

Intel's Jason Waxman says , "It has been something that customers have been asking us for for a while now...the reseller [currently] has to have an inventory of both boxes on hand." It sure would be funny though to read about all the people who bought an Intel motherboard and plugged a AMD chip into it only for smoke to come out.
